Twenty-five years ago, the three dudes in The New Duncan Imperials (Skipper, Goodtime, and Pigtail Dick) rampaged through America's club scene. Tours of Europe and multiple albums followed. The band combined ferocious, hook-laden guitar rock with a love for the tacky glory of American kitsch culture. Audiences everywhere ate it up (literally -- the band is known for handing out everything from broccoli to banana splits to its crowd). Fanatic fans followed the band in convoys from show to show. Their songs popped up in everything from movie soundtracks to TV ads for Kentucky Fried Chicken. Life was good! Time has passed, but the band's fierce, frantic stage show and love for the seamy side of things is stronger than ever. This is a rare chance to see one of rock and roll's great live shows. Come see the fun at their 25th-Anniversary White Trash Train-wreck Extravaganza at Fitzgerald's Fri July 25 at 9 pm. For this special show, the band will be performing their debut album "Hanky Panky Parley Voo!" in its entirety.
